August is Carnival Time!

Malmesbury Carnival will be in full swing from August to September, with the highlight being the carnival procession through the town centre on Saturday 3rd September.  This is a wonderful time of year to walk into town from The Stables at The Rookery, taking in a concert, talk, exhibition or film in town and eat a delicious meal at one of the local pubs or restaurants (or enjoy a Carnival Cream Tea on Saturday 27th August).  Our particular favourites of Carnival include Sing-a-Long-a-Grease (Thursday 11th August), Open Gardens (Sunday 14th August), Musical Walkabout (Saturday 27th August), Petticoat Lane Market (Sunday 28th August)  and An Afternoon of Music (Monday 29th August).   Not forgetting the Garden Club Show (Monday 29th August) at which Jenny's cakes have won first prize for the past two years!  The full carnival programme can be found here.

We are fully booked until August 5th, but from then on we do have several available weeks over the summer, so if you are looking for a relaxing break in luxurious surroundings with every comfort, why not come to The Stables at The Rookery.

We now have a number of regular guests, and are delighted that people are so pleased with The Stables that they want to return.  Our latest guest feedback read "A wonderful week.  Second visit as good as the first - thank you".  What more can we say!
